  -knit team of 7. You’ll report to our Marketing Manager in Copenhagen, Denmark. We keep a startup

  About the role

  With over 180,000 monthly users, our blog, Present Better, has become a core part of our marketing strategy. By targeting specific short and long tail keywords, the goal of the blog is to educate visitors about our presentation design services and funnel them into our free templates website, Templates by 24Slides.

  As our Content Manager / Editor, you’ll be responsible for making sure we have relevant content consistently uploaded to the blog. You’ll also have ownership over SEO performance by ensuring all new articles target relevant keywords and old articles are updated. Naturally, you’ll also spend time writing articles. You’ll be measured on the amount of traffic we get from our core markets of North America and Europe, as well as how we rank on our target keywords on Google. Ideally, we want someone who can grow to manage the whole process, work on growth strategies and have full ownership of the blog.

  What you’ll be doing

  • Managing a number of freelance writers and helping come up with relevant topics for the blog.
  • Ensuring that articles target appropriate keywords and are SEO optimized.
  • Writing articles yourself.
  • Structuring content so articles all point to cornerstone content.
  • Making sure that older articles with high traffic are consistently updated.
  • Checking that all new content lives up to the editorial standard of Present Better.
  • Looking for feedback from our users and suggesting improvements to UX and the content we provide.
  • Coming up with strategies on how to further grow traffic and SEO rankings for Present Better via a range of strategies such as backlinking, partnerships, etc.

  What you should have

  • Near fluency in written English
  • Excellent understanding of SEO when it comes to content.
  • A confident, clear and succinct writer.
  • Self
    -motivated, proactive team player that can stay focused on a task and ignore distractions.
  • Organization and reliability are key characteristics and you take ownership of your work.
  • Experience using Wordpress and SEO related tools for Wordpress.
